"Light Roast – projection mapping for Light Night 2015"
For Light Night 2015, Liverpool’s Draw & Code will be hosting Light Roast – a celebration of immersive and interactive art experiences in 92 Degrees Coffee, the new Hardman Street hotspot. The event is a collaboration with Midnight Polygon and Draw the Line who will be helping us to put art, technology and papercraft into the hands of visitors.
Using projection mapping, Draw & Code will bring Liverpool’s latest hangout for coffee connoisseurs vividly to life as the sun sets on Friday May 15th. There will also be DJs spinning electronic sounds as the day turns into night, with the projections reacting to the beats they play.
We are teaming up with our friends Midnight Polygon and Draw the Line who will be giving visitors a chance to get involved by creating their own art. The projections will be mapped onto small papercraft ‘jewels’ that Emily and Ste from Midnight Polygon will be helping people to construct for themselves.
Meanwhile Draw the Line will be covering the tables with paper and handing out pens as they get people to doodle for themselves. Democratising art is what they are all about, so come down and get stuck in.
On Friday you will also be able to experience our Aspect augmented reality app that works with the Critter Shed exhibition that is currently running in 92 Degrees Coffee.
It is free and family friendly, running from 6pm until 11pm this Friday May 15th. Make sure that 92 Degrees is a part of your Light Night itinerary.
